Some good news coming out of Japan – Citizen will extend the pre-order period of their 140th anniversary of the opening of Ueno Station commemorative watches that match the railway vehicle motif.

These Ana-Digi watches will be available for pre-order until Wednesday, March 27, 2024, or till their allotment is reached – whichever comes first! Ranging in cost from ￥38,000 to ￥40,000 (AUD$385 to AUD$410 – excluding tax) you better hop to it right here if you want to secure one (or all) of these watches.

For those of us into watches, trains and/or Ana-Digi displays, Citizen has posted details of the three types of sleeper limited express trains that connect Tokyo and Hokkaido that these watches are based on:

• The 24-series 25-type (Hokutosei);
• The E26 series (Cassiopeia); and the
• 485 series (limited express Hitachi) that connects Ueno Station to Taira Station (currently Iwaki Station)!

Citizen estimates that delivery of these limited timepieces will be late July this year.
