Life is indeed a tad too serious most times, so when an opportunity presents itself to let your hair down and have some fun, add a bit of colour to your wrist with a Swatch!

Yeah, I know Swatch isn’t everyone’s cup of tea – they are either too big, too plasticky, too gaudy, too light or just downright kid quality watches that break easy. Yep, I have heard them all, but let me tell you, Swatch watches are darn cool and have been cool for decades!

Before the pitchforks come out, I am not here to espouse the awesomeness of Swatch or to sell everything you have in your collection and only have Swatch watches – I treat these watches as “fun timepieces” to suit the mood or activity I am undertaking.

While taking my daughter to our local ten-pin bowling alley to play with her cousins, I donned my Swatch Neon to the Max (ref: SB06J100) watch, which was inspired by the 90’s chrono and highly collectible, Swatch GRAND PRIX SCJ101.

The watch was an instant hit with the kids and adults alike (my sister-in-law was the first to comment and say how much she liked it), referring to it as being ‘funky’ and ‘cool’!

The Neon To The Max with its multi-colour neon dial and case came to its own under the UV lights of the bowling alley – its pop of colour turning a fair few heads.
