It’s not every day you have the opportunity to procure a watch that has been on your bucketlist for ages. When opportunity presents itself, FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) seems to kick in hard!
Recently, I was lucky enough to grab the Oris ProPilot X Caliber 400 within my (tolerated) budget, which was unexpected and exciting at the same time. I was most excited about the titanium build, the stunning bracelet and its aeroplane seatbelt clasp, and of course the Caliber 400 movement – an amazing in-house Oris creation!
Before any watch makes my bucketlist, I deliberate (and perhaps do quite a bit of procrastination) and do a lot of research – the ProPilot X definitely passed muster. I can finally tell you why I grabbed this exceptional watch.

Being a ‘pilot’ watch, I love the F-35 engine turbine blade depiction on the bezel and the screw in caseback.

The bracelet’s design is both stylish and functional, offering a secure fit while maintaining a refined look. The bracelet does seem like it is integrated, that’s how good it looks, but it’s not. Having said that, this won’t be a strap monster, so it will remain on its stunning titanium bracelet. Oh yeah, that aeroplane seat belt clasp is just superb, and quite unique.
